This dress was a simple sheath type dress the Native American women styled after her hide dress when the traders introduced them to calico cloth. This dress was cooler than their skins and was very versatile, it is pulled over the head with no fastenings. They adorned them with ribbons they received from the traders hence the name “ribbon dress”. They also wore them with or without leggings.

Ribbon Dress w/straight or diamond sleeve

This very basic and serviceable dress was for everyday wear in general. It was worn with a waist apron or full body apron by women and girls alike. It is a pull over and buttons in the back at the top. Normally this dress was made with calico or gingham fabric for everyday and heavier fabric for winter wear.

This is a very fancy dress for that special day or event you want to attend. It can be as fancy and sexy as you want it. This dress can also be made more modest for the shy lady who wants to be a companion to her man. The bodice is separate from the skirt and the back of the dress has 1 or 2 puffs. It can be made without the skirt and worn as a lady of the night.

This skirt and blouse with tartan drape will give you that look of the Scottish lass. It also has a vest that is laced up the front.

Renaissance dresses are custom made only. This dress can be made in 4 different styles. Please see pictures for examples available.

Overdress & Chemise

This overdress is a crossover from Renaissance to Old England and to America. It is traditionally worn over a full length chemise, but can be worn over a full length petticoat/ slip and a blouse or camisole. The bodice is fully lined and laces at the shoulder and front. There are 3 full 45 inch lengths of fabric in the skirt so it swirls and hangs nicely. It is quite comfortable to wear in all types of adventures. Chemise can be ordered separately.
